Go and see Hero. Now.

Trust me when I tell you that the “new” film (actually 3 years old!) starring Jet Li, Hero literally pisses all over the dullsfest that was Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
The storyline is much more believable, the kung-fu is top notch, and believe me when I tell you that you have never seen leaves falling so beautifully on camera before. Or Maggie Cheung looking as perfect as she does in Hero.
If you like your kung-fu, or fantastic cinematography, then this, for Western audiences, is what Crouching Tiger should have been. Not to mention the coolest moustache ever seen on a Chinese actor. Which I’ve been half-heartedly trying to emulate ever since, and miserably failing.

IMHO “Animal House” pisses all over Crouching Tiger. What a grossly over-rated pile of crap that was.
Of course, I have no sense of culture.
