Nothing is safe outside my flat…

Long-suffering readers of this blog will recall the many tales of bikes being stolen from outside my flat. Now you can add to that list, car vandalism – just to add to all the other car woes I’ve had.

My car got broken into over the weekend, the police called out etc. It seems they went to all the trouble of sticking a coathanger down the side of the car window (which had been dodgy ever since someone else had smashed the car window for no reason two weeks earlier).

The only thing missing was the car stereo front fascia – the part you detach from the stereo itself. The stereo’s fine, untouched. Of course, it’s useless without the front fascia – which begs the question as to why a chancing chav would bother stealing it anyway.

And of course, I got the bill back for the MOT test and fixes they made to the car. £170. Except they hadn’t bothered checking the back brake lights because out of the three of them, only one of them works at the moment. So that’s something else to fix.

Bike, or car, doesn’t really matter. I get screwed either way.

  • Yeah…someone came into our building, stole a guy's phone, and sold it back to him the same day :

    What's a fascia…?

Was in a hit-and-run Sunday. Bunch of savages in this/these town/towns!

    …….. Because they can! And they're gangsta's – don't cha know?

  • Give it a couple of days and you can probably buy your own back on eBay.
