How do I lose shedloads of weight in two weeks?

For the last couple of days I’ve been frantically / frustratingly trying to co-ordinate schedules between my Californian friends and others in that part of the world, with flight schedules, various work regulations and day-dreaming about buying gadgets and meeting cool folk in the US of A. As long as they don’t vote for Bush of course.

Then I go see my mum this weekend with my sisters, and they all to a one decide that i’m the fattest they have ever seen me in my 30 years of existence. Which isn’t exactly good.

So how can I lose shedloads of weight / “puppy fat” in two weeks? Help!

Oh, and ideas for gadgets. And ideas for cheap ways to get between San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas please!

If you've got a bit of time, you can get 15 days unlimited travel on Amtrak's west coast routes (which cover everywhere you want to fo, although LV is via an Amtrak bus now) for $210! I thoroughly recommend it as an experience, and you can't beat the price.

Of course if you're making a bigger trip of it they do a whole country pass too…

By west, they mean anything west of Chicago.

  • P.S. You do NOT want to go Greyhound…there is a rant archived on my site ("Bussed Off") if you want to see why!

  • Do what I did, get yourself a defective thyroid. Never mind the moodswings, the angry shout outs, the heartrate that will drive you nuts and the depression. It'll make you lose at least 10 lbs a week – it did for me over the last week.

First, get rid of your shed.
