Reality TV hits rock-bottom, and Sky get sued for sexual assault

You can just imagine the scene – TV bigwigs at a creativity session, encouraged to think the unthinkable, for revolutionary reality TV formats.

One of them, having seen The Crying Game, pipes up and says “I know! Let’s have six guys competing for the attention of a woman, kissing and fondling her etc. … and at the end of the show, after said woman has picked a man, let’s reveal that the woman is in fact … a pre-op transexual!”

Lots of pony-tailed heads will bob up and down in ecstatic agreement, and will completely forget the fact that for a large percentage of the male heterosexual population, such a thing is liable to have one very angry violent man, as opposed to a metrosexual dude who will laugh about the whole thing.

Well, it’s happened. And now the producers of the show and Sky
are getting sued on numerous charges, including sexual assault. Amazing. Especially when you consider that one of the contestants was a Royal Marine commando. Mind you, from the pic I’ve seen, it would have been hard to spot the difference.
